Polygon
The automatic network that was launched in June 2020 and one of the most important side-chains of Ethereum with the vision to scale Ethereum.
The Polygon PoS chain is a decentralized network of validator nodes, each contributing to block generation and consensus.
Non-validator nodes, on the other hand, preserve the network's comprehensive block history, facilitate dApp communications, and more. This distributed control ensures that network modifications necessitate unanimous consensus, preventing unilateral changes and mitigating the risk of network forks.
SenseiNode is now a validator for Polygon that enables you to participate in the blockchain without having to run a node.
Learn how with the following step-by-step tutorial:
Staking requirements
- Have $MATIC in the Ethereum chain, at least 1 $MATIC
- Take notice that you will also need $ETH to pay the gas fee of the staking transaction. Gas fees might change subject to network activity.
- No minimum staking period.
- No maximum staking duration for validation.
Now, let’s see how you can become a delegator:
Step 1: Connect your wallet
Go to https://staking.polygon.technology/validators/170 and login with your self-custodial wallet
Step 2: Press the button ‘Become a Delegator’
Step 3: Choose the amount of $MATIC you want to stake
Step 4: Press the button ‘Delegate’
Sign the transaction in your wallet, and done!
Congratulations! You staked your $MATIC by delegating it to SenseiNode’s vault and now you are an active participant in the network!
Take in mind that the APY will vary in time based on the total MATIC staked, and the performance of each validator.
Stake now your $MATIC with SenseiNode’s validators.
