Stacking STX

A step-by-step guide on how to stack STX with Leather wallet.

Stacking rewards Stacks (STX) token holders with bitcoin for providing a valuable service to the network by locking up their tokens for a certain time and participating as consensus-critical signers. There are several options for stacking including solo stacking, participating in a pool, using an exchange, and liquid stacking.

In this guide we will show you how to delegate your STX tokens to the SENSEINODE'S pool.

Step 1: Setting up a wallet

1. The two more broadly used wallets for Stacks ecosystem are Leather wallet and Xverse wallet. We will show you how to stack using Leather.

2. After setting it up, select mainnet as network to use

Step 2: Stacking

1. Sign in with the wallet to the Lockstacks site.

2. Select the “Stack in a pool” alternative

3. Select the “Custom Pool” option and fill it with our Pool Operator address: SP20XZGWBWSMRE94WDJ6YJ1EKPJ55RGRGK4JDJHNK

4. Set up the duration of the stacking: choose whether you want to pool with a limited duration, or give the pool indefinite permission. Each cycles lasts around 15 days. In this case we will use the maximum lockup period which is 12 cycles.
